Instructions
Prepare the Dough:In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.Add flour, salt, melted coconut oil, parsley, cayenne pepper, and minced garlic. Mix until a dough forms.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.Place the dough back in the bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it proof for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Assemble the Loaf:Preheat your oven to 370°F.Once proofed, punch down the dough and divide it into two equal halves.Roll out each half on a floured surface and knead briefly to remove air bubbles.Place the first rolled-out half into a greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly to cover the bottom.Slightly melt the cream cheese until it’s pourable, then drizzle it all over the dough in the pan.Evenly sprinkle the shredded pepper jack cheese on top.Roll out the second half of the dough and place it over the cheese layer, pinching the edges tightly to seal.
Bake the Breadsticks:Place the loaf in the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown on top and cooked through.
Prepare the Butter Topping:While the bread is baking, melt the butter in a small bowl.Stir in a pinch of cayenne pepper and the minced garlic.
Finish and Serve:When the breadsticks come out of the oven, immediately brush the buttery garlic mixture all over the top.Let cool slightly before slicing into breadsticks and serving.
