Ingredients
  

  • 4 large salmon fillets
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp dried basil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, minced garlic, hot sauce, ketchup, salt, and black pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well blended to create a smoky sweet glaze.
  • Coat each salmon fillet generously with the glaze, ensuring they are evenly covered. Place the fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Pour the remaining glaze over the top of the fillets, ensuring the salmon is well covered in the mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until the salmon is fully cooked through and the glaze has thickened, creating a caramelized finish on the fish.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite sides for a mouthwatering Southern meal.
