Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb dried lentils, rinsed and sorted
  • 1 bag (16 oz) baby carrots
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ tbsp Badia Complete seasoning
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 8 - 10 cups of water

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Ingredients: Start by rinsing the lentils and sorting out any debris. Chop the baby carrots (if needed), celery, onion, and smoked sausage.
  • Combine in the Slow Cooker: In a large slow cooker, add the lentils, baby carrots, celery, onion, and chopped smoked sausage. Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, Badia Complete seasoning, smoked paprika, and minced garlic.
  • Add Water: Pour in 8 cups of water, ensuring everything is fully submerged.
  • Cook on Low: Set the slow cooker to "Low" and cook for 10-12 hours. Stir occasionally if desired, but otherwise let the slow cooker work its magic.
  • Serve & Enjoy: Once done, give it a taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with a side of cornbread for the perfect Southern meal!
