Equipment

  • 1 large baking pan

Ingredients

  • 4 large tuna steaks
  • 1 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 cups honey
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 4 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Prepare the Tuna: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Season both sides of the tuna steaks with salt and black pepper.
  • Make the Honey Dijon Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the Dijon mustard, honey, and black pepper, and stir until the sauce is smooth and well combined. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Bake the Tuna Steaks: Place the tuna steaks in a baking dish. Pour half of the honey Dijon sauce over the steaks, reserving the rest for serving. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes at 350°F.
  • Serve: Once the tuna is baked through, remove from the oven and drizzle the remaining warm honey Dijon sauce over the top. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
