Equipment

  • 1 large baking sheet or pan

Ingredients

  • 1 can of large refrigerated biscuits (8 count)
  • 8 slices of deli meat (ham, turkey, or your favorite)
  • 8 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or American)
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Flatten the biscuits: Open the can of biscuits and separate each one. Using your hands or a rolling pin, flatten and stretch each biscuit into a larger round, about 6 inches in diameter.
  • Layer with meat and cheese: Place a slice of deli meat and a slice of cheese in the center of each flattened biscuit.
  • Seal into pockets: Fold the biscuit over the filling, forming a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges tightly to seal the biscuit. For a flatter biscuit pocket, gently press down on the top.
  • Optional flavoring: For added flavor, brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuit pockets are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve hot: Let them cool for a minute or two before serving. Enjoy these easy, cheesy pockets for lunch, dinner, or a quick snack!
