Cheesy Jalapeno Butter Crackers

Equipment

  • 1 Large Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Large Baking Sheet
  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 Roll of Parchment Paper

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapenos
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups monteray Jack cheese, shredded

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add your butter and milk and mix very well to form a nice dough.
  • Now gently add in the cheeses and peppers and give it another good mixing.
  • Form into a ball and place in the fridge for about an hour covered.
  • Roll out your dough on a nice, clean floured surface adding more flour as needed.
  • You can cut the dough ball into 4 pieces making it easier to roll out.
  • Make each flattened out dough about 1/4 of an inch thick.
  • Once flattened, cut into rectangle strips and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Bake each batch at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until nice and golden.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Serve on their own as a snack or with your favorite hummus or dips.
