Equipment

  • 1 Slow Cooker
  • 1 Large Spoon
  • 1 Casserole Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 lb already cooked navy beans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  • If you just finished cooking the navy beans first, drain the beans and set aside in a bowl, but save the juice.
  • In a small bowl, mix up your salt, pepper, garlic, mustard, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and maple syrup.
  • After mixing these ingredients well, now add the beans to the mixture and stir evenly.
  • Now pour this baked bean mixture into your greased or sprayed baking pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 60 - 80 minutes, until it is nice, thick, and bubbling.
  • Serve with your favorite grilled meats or barbecue.

Notes

For a bit of a tangier twist, swap the mustard for a nice grainy dijon mustard or add some jalapeno and hot sauce for a spicier kick.
