McDonald’s Review – A Frustrating Stop at the Dickson, TN Location

Yesterday, I stopped at McDonald’s at the Love’s Truckstop in Dickson, TN, located just off the 163 exit, expecting a quick, simple meal on the road. It was a two-item order: a large Mocha Frappe with no whipped cream and a Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Sounds easy enough, right? Unfortunately, my visit turned into a complete disaster, and I’m left with a major frustration to share.

First of all, I placed my order in-store and asked for it to go, thinking that would save time. The crew handed me my bag with my order, and I headed straight for the car. In my rush to hit the road, I didn’t check the bag—big mistake on my part. Once I got settled in and hit the interstate, I decided to sip my Mocha Frappe to enjoy a little treat while I drove. Instead of the thick, frozen frappe I was expecting, I was greeted with a watery, flavorless mess that tasted more like a chocolate shake than a mocha frappe.

I couldn’t believe it. But the worst was yet to come.

A McDonald’s Mess: Why Dickson, TN Service Needs Improvement

Next, I unwrapped my Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich. As I pulled it out, an alarming amount of spicy sauce began to ooze out of the sandwich, spilling everywhere. Not only was the sauce dripping all over my car, but there was barely any chicken on the sandwich. What should’ve been a hearty meal felt more like a sad, saucy mess.

At this point, my frustration hit its peak. As I tried to eat the sandwich while driving, sauce kept dripping all over my clothes and the seat. I was a mess. I get that mistakes happen, but this was beyond frustrating, especially when you’re on the go and just want something simple and easy to eat.

To the employees at McDonald’s, a little advice: Most of us who stop at your location are on the road, trying to grab a quick meal. That means we don’t have the luxury of sitting down and dealing with sloppy food. A little attention to detail could’ve saved me a lot of hassle. If we keep experiencing bad service and poorly made food, we’ll stop buying—and that’s not something you want to see.

In the end, this experience left me more frustrated than satisfied. I understand that mistakes happen, but when they happen consistently, it’s hard not to feel like it’s a bigger issue. Here’s hoping the next time I stop, they can at least get the basics right.

My advice, just quit buying from McDonald’s. They suck!
