Homemade Strawberry Banana Pudding Recipe

You have got to try my Homemade Strawberry Banana Pudding recipe now. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of indulging in a homemade dessert that combines the natural sweetness of fresh fruit with a creamy, velvety pudding base.

Today, we’re bringing you a delightful twist on a classic favorite – Homemade Strawberry Banana Pudding! With the perfect balance of flavors and textures, this dessert will leave you craving for more. So grab your apron, gather your ingredients, and let’s dive into this mouthwatering recipe!

Instructions for the Homemade Strawberry Banana Pudding:

1. Prepare the Pudding Base:

In a large saucepan, combine the whole milk, sugar, salt, and cornstarch over medium heat. Whisk the ingredients together until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

2. Incorporate the Flavor:

Remove the saucepan from heat and add in the butter, banana flavoring, and egg yolks. Stir vigorously until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.

3. Cook and Cool:

Return the saucepan to low heat and cook for another minute, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and allow the pudding base to cool completely. To prevent a skin from forming on top of the pudding, cover it with plastic wrap directly touching its surface.

4. Assemble the Pudding:

Once cooled, slice the bananas and strawberries into thin rounds. In a large serving dish or individual serving glasses, begin layering by placing a generous amount of pudding base at the bottom. Add a layer of vanilla wafer cookies on top, followed by a layer of sliced bananas and strawberries. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.

5. Refrigerate and Serve:

Cover the assembled pudding with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together. Before serving, you can garnish the pudding with additional banana slices, strawberry slices, or crushed vanilla wafers for added visual appeal.

Serving Suggestions for my Homemade Strawberry Banana Pudding Recipe:

– Serve chilled and garnish with fresh strawberry slices and a sprinkle of crushed vanilla wafer cookies for an added crunch.

– For an extra indulgence, top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream before serving.

– Try serving the strawberry banana pudding in individual mason jars for a charming presentation at parties or gatherings.
