A Candid Review of Dr. Hasanin in Dickson, TN: My Personal Experience with Gastroenterology Care
If you’ve been on a long journey seeking relief from stomach issues and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or ulcerative colitis (UC), my story might resonate with you. In 2015 or 2016, I began experiencing relentless stomach problems.
Since then, I’ve been to countless hospitals, doctors, and specialists, searching for someone who could understand my condition and help me manage the pain. Unfortunately, the healthcare system has often left me feeling more frustrated than hopeful.
However, in early 2023, I was referred to Dr. Hasanin in Dickson, TN, with high expectations that he could finally provide the relief I desperately sought.
Initial Expectations for Dr. Hasanin
Word of mouth and recommendations can be powerful motivators, especially when you’re in chronic discomfort. I was repeatedly told that Dr. Hasanin, a gastroenterologist in Dickson, was known for his excellent bedside manner and ability to address complex stomach issues.
With encouragement from friends and referrals, I decided to visit him, feeling optimistic that he might finally be able to diagnose the root of my IBD and UC struggles. I was ready to find relief and willing to trust his expertise.
Nearly a Year with Dr. Hasanin—Still No Progress
Fast forward almost a year, and sadly, I’m in the same situation, if not worse. Dr. Hasanin’s approach primarily involved running multiple tests and prescribing a couple of medications—Entocort and Trulance.
While I hoped these might be game-changers, both proved ineffective for my specific condition. In fact, the Trulance caused severe side effects, resulting in water-like diarrhea up to 10 times daily. This side effect not only worsened my symptoms but added new issues to my already challenging situation.
The experience has been disheartening, to say the least, as I continue dealing with the daily pain and frustration of untreated IBD and UC.
Modern Healthcare’s Profit-Driven Model—A Harsh Reality
Unfortunately, Dr. Hasanin’s approach is emblematic of a troubling trend in modern healthcare. Many doctors and specialists focus more on managing symptoms with medications rather than finding solutions or cures.
It often feels like health and wellness have taken a backseat to profit margins, with physicians seemingly more interested in prescribing treatments that only temporarily mask symptoms.
For those of us suffering daily, this means enduring countless appointments and medication changes without meaningful improvements.
Honest Reflection: Healthcare and Patient Expectations
It’s increasingly clear that healthcare has shifted away from patient-centered solutions, and my experience with Dr. Hasanin reflects this disheartening reality.
I had hoped that his expertise would finally lead to relief from my chronic stomach issues, but I’m left feeling like just another case file in an endless queue.
After almost a year of visits, tests, and failed medications, I can only say that my experience has been one of disappointment.
Final Thoughts and Rating of Dr. Hasanin in Dickson, TN
I’m sharing this review to bring awareness to the realities of navigating healthcare for chronic conditions like IBD and UC. While every doctor may not be able to solve every issue, my experience with Dr. Hasanin in Dickson has left me feeling unsupported in my quest for relief.
So, if you are considering him as your gastroenterologist, be aware that my experience has been far from positive.
My honest rating: 1 star.
